Green Guide for Event Organizers
As an organization, the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds responsibly acknowledges its ecological footprint and consumption, and has implemented an environmental management policy to ensure structured action. Here, we present some eco-friendly recommendations to keep in mind when organizing an event.
- Catering: Please avoid using disposable tableware when catering for artists, visitors, and the organizing team, especially single-use plastic items. We also ask you to minimize leftover food.
- Waste sorting: Please use the designated bins for glass, bottles/cans, paper/cardboard, packaging, bio-waste, and general waste.
- Gifts and prizes: Please carefully consider the contents of gift bags created for trade show and conference clients, as well as the quantity and selection of complimentary products offered by partners. We recommend choosing eco-friendly gifts, such as items made from recycled materials, experience-based gifts, or supporting local artisans.
- Decorations and printed materials: For events, please use environmentally friendly solutions for effects and decorations. For example, if an artist wishes to release confetti into the audience, carefully consider its necessity and ensure the materials used are eco-friendly. The same applies to printed materials and other informational items, where we recommend mindful reuse and sustainable choices.
- Transport Options: In your event guide, please offer a variety of transport options as alternatives to private cars. The Tallinn Song Festival Grounds is easily accessible by public transport, bicycle, and electric rental scooters. Remind attendees that we are within walking or cycling distance from the city center. Every guest’s choice of an environmentally conscious mode of transport contributes to our sustainability efforts.
Thank you for taking our eco-friendly guidelines into account, and we wish you a successful event!
