Closing of the Capital of Sport year

Tallinn – European Capital of Sport 2025 will celebrate the end of the sports year on Saturday, 13 December at the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds with an event starting at 6 p.m., headlined by the Finnish Eurovision star Käärijä.

The festive closing of the Capital of Sport year will kick off at 6 p.m. with a stage production full of musical highlights, summarising 12 key moments of the Capital of Sport year. Performers include OLLIE, INGER, Reet Linna, fire dancers, and many others.

Käärijä, who won second place at the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest with his song “Cha Cha Cha,” will take the stage at 7 p.m. The event is free of charge.

The European Capital of Sport year brought major sporting events, new initiatives, and sports opportunities to Tallinn.
The backbone of the sports year was a programme of 12 theme months, introducing various sports and ways to practice them. In total, Tallinn organised more than 1,500 free training sessions in 2025.
