The area of the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds is a 30 hectare green field. This large area is used throughout the year to hold different events. The outdoor area is used to organise big concerts, different festivals, health events, sports and racing events, companies’ summer events etc.
Over the years, thousands of song festival choirs as well as international superstars have performed on the stage of the Song Festival Grounds. Among others such world-famous artist as Madonna, Moby, Michael Jackson, Metallica, Elton John, Rolling Stones, Tina Turner, Franz Ferdinand etc.
The outdoor area is also used as a public park with free access to everybody for 24 hours a day. In summer, the park is a good place for a picnic or for cycling, golfing, skateboarding and walking. In winter, the popular Winter Centre is open on the slope of the Lasnamäe hill opposite to the stage.
